ConceptBoard Familiarisation

For general guidance on Whiteboards, please see our post: Using Participative Collaboration Techniques in Virtual Whiteboards
There are loads of virtual whiteboards out there, all with various advantages and disadvantages (what makes them good for one thing often makes them poor for another) – a simple search of Google for ‘virtual whiteboard’ will show you just how many there are.
For a number of reasons, we have opted to make our resources and training available through ConceptBoard: It does what we want; it has a free version available; it enables people to copy resources from it and stick it on their own whiteboards; it is quick to pick up and use.
That said – it does require a few minutes of investment if you are to get the best out of it – either as a participant or as a meeting organiser. You need to familiarise yourself with the environment and how to use the tools if you are to fully experience and understand how to take part.
To support you in this we have developed a simple concept board page which will take you through the key steps. We propose that you go to the conceptboard site, set yourself up a free account, then follow the link to our ConceptBoard Familiarisation, and follow along by trying out the tools in your own board:
Once you have done this, you will be fully ready to use our tools and templates and take part in our training programme. Or indeed to adopting participative collaboration techniques immediately.
Track your progress to ensure the efficacy of this strategy.
